Family Olympics

We recently celebrated my dad's 60th birthday and wanted to do something special as a family.  We talked about all different kinds of options, but ultimately decided to have a family weekend at my parents house, full of games and fun.  Since his birthday coincides with the 2012 Summer Olympics, we thought we would have our own family Olympics.  What better way to spend summer days than to be active together?

Here are some of our "events":

 Corn Hole

 Croquet
 Hiking

"Swimming"
Bike Riding

The guys even had time for a round of golf.  It is amazing what you can do in just a short weekend--as you can see there was not a whole lot of time to be sitting down.  Our "Family Olympics" was not as organized as we may have planned, but it was filled with fun and memories.  Find ways to move more and sit less at your family gatherings this summer!
